CONVERSTION-VOLUME-WEIGHT-CALCULATOR-AVALON-CAKES2

Here are some common ingredients that often need to be converted from volume (cups, tsp, tbsp) into weight (grams or ounces). This can help with making your recipe more precise, scalable, convenient and consistent. We are constantly adding more ingredients.

It’s a common misconception that anything in volume form can be converted into ounces by simple metric formula. i.e. 8 oz = 1 cup. Well yes, but that is FLUID oz, not dry weight ounces. This can be confusing for a lot of people when trying to convert their recipe into weight. Think about it this way, 1 cup of flour (4.3 oz) does not weigh the same as 1 cup of sugar (7 oz).
